The CIENS’ research is structured around three axes:
– a reflection on the relationship between Europe and nuclear deterrence, against the backdrop of the highly topical issue of European strategic autonomy;
– an analysis of the status of strategic knowledge, between academia and expertise, implying a reflexive approach to what the CIENS is trying to do at the junction of these two worlds;
– finally, work on the emergence of new areas of conflict, with in particular a centre dedicated to the cyber dimension, which will be strengthened from next year.
You can find the summary of our axes here.
